welcome! so sorry you needed to find us but so very glad that you did! Firstly...your case sounds quite a bit like mine did...except for the part that the officer didn't believe us. He DID but there just wasn't enough evidence for criminal charges but there was enough for civil(juvenile/family) charges.

I would recommend as well to ask for a different officer but even if they won't go forward with criminal charges CPS will probably still go forward with civil charges. Instead of the DA taking the case the CA or County Attorney will take the case. There usually is a lie detector test, a sex eval on him, plenty of things that can and will be done. But you need an attorney like NOW! Your kiddos will be given a GAL(guardian at litem) to protect them and their rights. This is going to be a fight like you won't believe if it doesn't go to criminal court. If it goes to criminal it's up to the DA to do everything to prosecute. If it goes to family/civil you are going to need to fight like crazy to make sure your kids are protected. I spent thousands of dollars to protect my babes!

Anyway, might of gotten off track there bc you haven't gotten that far in your case yet but I still would recommend that lawyer now. if you need ANYTHING I have plenty of advice...been through the civil end of it...sigh...pretty tough battle...just click on my name and you can personally email me.

Big hugs and hang in there,

      Bree :)

P.S. get a family law lawyer as blurrrb recommended
