Hi - I just wanted to share how important our healing is to our chilren's healing. I have been going to a women's sexual support group for a couple of months now. It has been very helpful to me but my intention was to get my 18 yr old daughter interested in going. She went for the first time last night. I stayed at home crossing my fingers that she would make it thru the meeting. And .....she found it helpful. She was very resistant to going just a few weeks ago.
When I first found this support group ( 4 months ago) I studied the MOSAC site and learned how we as moms handle things will greatly foretell how our children will handle abuse. I have found it to be true-the harder I work on healing me, the better my daughter does. I am so grateful to those who have gone before us; learning what worked and then sharing this knowledge with us.
I feel hope now. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Never give up, Laura |
