Touching base with the Jagdterrier owners on some changes with the German Jagdterrier Registry of America.
All Jagdterriers being registered must have at least 2 pictures of the dog with the application. Pictures must be good quality of the dog standing, one front view and a side view. All Jagdterriers under one year old will be Puppy Registered. One year old and older will be permanently registered. If 9 months and older the Height and Weight must be on the application.
German Jagdterrier Registry of America Temporary Registration has a time limit. Before 6 months old fee is $20.00. 6 months to one year old $30.00 and after one year old $40.00.
German Jagdterrier Registry of America Puppy Registration Certificate has a time limit. They
expire two years from the date puppy was born.
It is highly recommended that each Jagdterrier has a microchip implant before being registered. When a breeder is selling their pups it is recommended for the breeder to microchip each puppy before they leave to their new home.
I have received more incorrect pedigrees from people all over the county. I do not know how these people come up with what they put down but it is wrong. When a dog is being registered in the GJRA and it is registered someplace else I need a copy of pedigree from the other place. 99% of the time it is wrong. Those other places and those so called owner/breeders don’t seem to care about the breed. The German Jagdterrier Registry of America was established in 1995 and the only registry just this breed in the USA. We have worked hard at keeping the breed how it was intended to be. Many people out their don’t seem to have a clue at how the breed should be. They are trying to make this breed a completely different breed. Most of these people have only owned this breed for 1-4 years and think they know this breed. Well they are wrong they don’t know this breed at all. It takes years and years to learn this breed. Let’s see what they say in 10-15 years from know and have owned many Jagdterriers.
More news to come soon....

I have a male Jagdterrier registered GJRA (from Bill Wiggins), a female registered AKC(from James Mills). What can I do to get the pups litter enrolled? Can I have the AKC dog registered as GJRA and then have the pups enrolled?
Thank You,
Bruce Majors

Hi Bruce - Enjoyed your phone call. Give me a shout anytime. Send in a copy of your females papers, height, weight and the pictures along with the fee and you can have her registered in the GJRA. You can also send in the litter info and get the pups Temp. registered at the same time. Hope this helped you out.
