More to show...

I did not beleave that the landing gear would take this long to finish-gads, it never ends! I narrowed up the Monogram A-26 wheels, and they look fantastic. The gear doors are on; however, the lowest one is not right... I sticks out too far and hangs too low. Not an easy fix either. Oh well. I may cut down the attachment brace and make a new one from plastic stock because of the 'flip' at the end near the leg knuckle/top. I also made all the attachment braces that hold the lower gear doors one the real thing.

I also, against my better judgement put on the wing floats, as they did not fit as well as I would like. They are pinned and stout-I accidentally drilled through the wing, so the glue was applied from the top, and I got a fantastic glue joint, if not some redo work on top of the wing.

I also have to eat some of my rant from a few posts back... I found beautiful resin doors for the oil coolers in the bag. In my defense the instructions are so bad that they don't even show them, but I didn't look very close either-or rather I did, but at the time did not recognize them. I put them on, as I felt they were better than mine after the second time being repaired adn reattached.

All the sanding is finished and I touched up some of the panel lines that I didn't like. Need to prime a couple of new spots, but I think I should have color on by the weekend.

I need to reattach the nose gear-super glue is not liking the white metal RVHP used-doesn't stick very well...

Cheers

Pat

  4. Any markings are acceptable.

  5. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
