Response to Aaarghhh! RLM colour on an RAF plane?

At first I thought there was a clicking system, or a hinging system... nope, just slightly turn and lift... who would've thought

And only afterwards one reads the instructions on the side - to see if one had opened the can correctly happy.gif

At first I wanted to paint my Balliol with this paint - but (besides not knowing how to open it) I didn't know what to thin it with... so I used the Tamiya rattlecan instead, easy... but a bit too bright

I still have to learn how to weather silver schemes realistically though... I'm not entirely happy with my dirty black wash, maybe with the next silver kit

Painted decal strips are great, but on my Rufe I will use for the first time canopy masks - Eduard just released a set for the Airfix Zero and I picked up a set in Prague last time, so I'm curious how this will work out

Just like the perfect woman doesn't exist, I will never build a perfect model.

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature WWI Aircraft Kits.

  1. This Group Build will run until 31 December, 2011.

  2. Build as many kits as you like.

  3. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  4. Any markings are acceptable.

  5. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
