How does the term glacier-pace scale modelling sound like? I've been doing some of this and the result is this small Rufe for your viewing pleasure. It is the Jo-Han kit , a cheap ( well , cheaper) alternative to the Hasegawa kit. I used an Eduard zoom set to build up a cockpit, a part of a Squadron vac canopy and i did some additions/replacements here and there.
This is suposed to be a machine from the Sasebo Kokutai , used to patrol the coastal sea of Japan ,and the purple colour is actually green that has weathered poorly to this ...shade. The model is brush painted .The colours are eyeballed enamel and acrylics. Clear cotes from spray can, grey - brown oil washes, chipping by dry brush and toothpicks , some pastels.
Ah! The tail code 105 SHOULD BE 108.You have been warned... Comments and critic welcome! Hope you like it..

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature WWI Aircraft Kits.

  1. This Group Build will run until 31 December, 2011.

  2. Build as many kits as you like.

  3. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  4. Any markings are acceptable.

  5. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
