Hello everybody...
Well I was thinking of posting another Spitfire as my next post anyway. And the enthusiasm and support from so many of you (thank you!) only helped me to go down that path again! So here she is, Spitfire #2. This is the Tamiya Mk.VB kit and building it was pretty much the same as the Mk.1 version. It was almost identical in the way it went together and built up, aside from the different wing and other parts of course. When I finished my Mk.1 I was still on a Spitfire high and figured why not right? And seeing that I had previously started this kit only helped to speed things along. Besides one Spitfire is definitely not enough!

Model Master enamels were used throughout. It was an O.O.B. build but I did go a different route with the markings. I had had these decals lying around for a few years and figured why not use them? They are from Lift Here decals and the sheet featured markings for four aircraft, two Spits and two Hurricanes all in Yugoslavian markings.
Though this wasn't what I had in mind originally, in the end I am glad I used them and it's not every day you see a Spitfire in Yugoslavian markings. I have to admit the large "cookie stars" on the upper wings are kind of cool.
I was pretty happy with how it came out though I do think I could have weathered it a little more.
thanks for looking
regards
Jon
