How much longer will it continue...according to the schedule? Wouldn't be permanent would it?

1/72 group build

I for one hope it is a permanent site since I primarily build 1/72. Would be a shame to see it go.

I love this site. I build in 1:72nd 99.8 % of the time. Hope Brett decides to keep it.

Me too...

I haven't started anything here in awhile since I thought the plug was going to be pulled. I would be very happy if this becomes a permanent forum!

One more vote for a permanent 1/72 forum

February 3 2012, 3:44 AM

I've built hundreds of 1/72 models and two in 1/32 about twenty five years ago! I'd be very happy to have a permanent forum for 'brail scale'.

One more here...

I only build 1/72, and while its a broad church I notice Hyperscale is rather heavily weighted to 1/48 (in galleries, anyway), with 1/32 now increasingly prominent. So it's rather nice to have a place to come that's all 1/72. I can see it's not quite in the spirit of a group build, unless we are more of a minority faction than I had supposed.

Oh yeah...

1/72nd Rules!

Though I hope and wish it would stay as permanent (the Staaken is calling) I think the issue might be when do you stop? 1/32nd forum, 1/48th etc.....

I agree it would be great. This forum is very much like the AFGB forum with lots of the same people.

They are all nice people.

There are other scales?

February 6 2012, 9:42 AM

1:72nd, everything else is just to big and one starts wondering about the correct scale for the scratched paint on the pilots goggles or so darn small that one can't see the kit without a microscope (unless model is a Ruslan, a B52 or the Spruce Goose!).

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature WWI Aircraft Kits.

  1. This Group Build will run until 31 December, 2011.

  2. Build as many kits as you like.

  3. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  4. Any markings are acceptable.

  5. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
