I have come to a halt on this build. I cannot locate a suitable prop and need to finish the observers Parabellum MG. This will be my last post for a long while due to a relocation. I have sold my home and having a new one built. The rental is out in the boondocks and has no internet or cable. This is the Joystick vacuform kit. It was a real pleasure to build and detail.

That is lovely! I was wondering where you were...you really finished that off a treat.

Good luck with the move. Who knows what you'll have to show next time???

Very well executed, Tim

The tricolour camouflage is not seen very often, nice! Beautiful cockpit as usual - details as well as woodwork. I have practiced a bit with oils but am nowhere near getting the results you are.

I hope you find a prop - I looked through my spares box but found nothing suitable.

Good luck with the new home - I hope it'll have a proper man cave. happy.gif

this one has the magic of a neat subject in a cool scheme beautifully done. I hope and dream some day I can make models approaching this. Do find a prop and finish her off!

I hope the move goes well. A hassled, I'm sure.

I managed to find this kit as well, but have yet to get started on it. Any key problems you came across during your build?

Impressive work. Hope mine turns out at least half as well. happy.gif

Key problems

May 23 2012, 12:52 PM

John, this kit is a great build. No key prolems except if you lay the parts out on the Windsock datafile plans. The wings are @ 3mm short on each side. I chose to ignore this and build it as is. Also there is no molded detail on the bottom surface so this is scratched. The fusilage sides went together very well as with all Joystick vacs I have built. I highly recommend ths kit and look forward to seeing yours!

Sorry - but another lovely WW-I build Tim - I can't keep my eyes of such subjects

Hope you find a prop soon, cause without it looks very "interesting"

All the best with the move !

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature WWI Aircraft Kits.

  1. This Group Build will run until 31 December, 2011.

  2. Build as many kits as you like.

  3. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  4. Any markings are acceptable.

  5. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
