Also for your enjoyment, since we are on the saubject of the RAF, I have included a few pics of other medal winners from years past.

First, another gold winner, Xtrakit (MpM's) 1/72 meteor F8 OOB

Congratulations Leon!

I got to see your Lightning up close and personal at Scalefest and
I can say that the Gold medal is well deserved! You did an outstanding
job!

Great work on your other classic Brit jets too!
Is there a Gnat or a Vampire or a Sea Vixen in your near future?
(I'll cross my fingers).

Thanks for sharing and Congratulations,
Keith

I'll be happy to email the high res images if you want them.

Again, great work!

Thanks

Thanks everyone for your kind comments.

Thanks also to Keith for his post, and yes, that is my RF-5A, winner of a bronze medal.

It may be awhile before I do any more British subjects, but I never know what I will start next until it just sorta happens.

Right now I am in the early stages of Hasegawas's ancient Fuji T-1 kit. This is going to take alot of effort to build into anything decent, but that's what it's all about, IMO.

I am scratchbuilding almost the entire cockpit, which is the first time I have ever been quite so ambitious, but it is coming along ok so far. Will post my progress soon.

Again thanks to all, and as always, God bless, and happy modeling!

HyperScale's Group Build Guidelines

The objective of this Group Build is to encourage as many modellers as possible to build their kits and share their progress via words and photos on this Forum.

You are welcome to post general construction tips or relevant reference information and photos to this Forum too.

This Group Build will feature WWI Aircraft Kits.

  1. This Group Build will run until 31 December, 2011.

  2. Build as many kits as you like.

  3. Conversions, aftermarket and scratchbuilding are all permitted.

  4. Any markings are acceptable.

  5. Document your progress and do a write-up on your build - where did you have trouble, what improvements did you make, what markings did you choose and why? It would be GREAT if everyone would do a writeup and submit it to HyperScale as a Feature Article.
