Thought I'd stop by...

The clacking sound of my keyboard echoing in the empty room started to get to me, and I think I got broadsided by a tumbleweed in my ghost town.

Just wanted to make sure everyone here knew that I never had ANY intention of trying to "steal" evryone over to my forum. A few emails have suggested this. My forum was made back in June or July when I offered it to Ralph, bandwidth and all, for free during one of his more trying times as admin over there. The forum software has many more features and a robust admin section. When all of the nonsense started up on the FF, I was appalled, because this place was always almost sacred. Fights would go on at Ralph's, but never here! We were like family! A few people expressed to me that they wished they had a place to resume that feeling... where conversational fires could easily be put out, but without a 2-3 day wait to have your post "approved." Since I had the forum sitting empty, I offered it up, but knowing that I really didn't have the time right now. So I had a few people offer their help and I accepted. Unfortunately, a few nasty posts trashing them, made them feel they were an anchor to their perception that I wanted a big forum. In reality, I didn't really care if it was just us three. I would have missed everybody else, but I wasn't prepared to dump friends because they got into a fight with somebody else.

What I wish, is that EVERYONE (yes, I mean everyone)would be welcome SOMEWHERE and that we all could go back to the warm feeling we all worked so hard to establish here on the old FF. I don't care where it is... hell... I'll give Beth Admin priveledges if she wants to use my software... she can run the place... if not, then I'll try to post here as often as I can, and try to keep up over at my place... but it seems a bit redundant...

By the way, if anyone is wondering, my physical therapy is going great! I spent two days toy shopping (All Day!), and I hope to be able to go back to work, at least limited hours, after the holidays. So in some areas, things are looking up!

Anyway... sorry for being so long winded, but it IS what I do best...

Here's to a full family reunion... even the red-headed step children from the crazy black-haired cousins that live in the attic...

Because in the end, families and real friends don't cut you loose just because you pissed them off.
