What a wonderful parable, as only Richard Bach can tell it!
Of all of Andy's incredible qualities, the single one I admire the most was his courage. Seemingly INFINITE courage. "Balls like church bells" as Michael Stipe said in a recent interview. (I'll go back and find that interview and post it here for anyone who hasn't seen it.)
Bach's other classic, Jonathan Livingston Seagull, is all about Andy Kaufman, in my opinion. Andy learned to soar, and then pushed on to higher and higher dimensions, as "the flock" stayed behind, fighting over scraps.
If I can learn anything from Andy, let it be courage.
