If you didn't see it, the sign to which I refer is in the series of signs that are posted here:
http://jevans.xerox-sbc.com/Signs/1_signs_.htm
(View signs before continuing reading post.)
I find myself thinking over and over upon the sign with the wheelchair speeding down the hill with the alligator at the bottom. I
would like to know where this place is. I believe I see a fiscal opportunity in the making.
Lots of people stand to inheirit money and/or property from people who are older than they are. Some of these older people are in
wheelchairs. If the heirs wish to speed things up a little bit, they can just pay a visit to the hilltop beside alligator swamp, and have a
minor "slip."
And it's not just useful in cases of personal gain - let's say you've always wanted to get rid of that annoying kid on your block who
roller-blades up and down every afternoon, listening to his boombox? I can forsee a problem with skateboards, however, as the
rider can simply bail off, before reaching the alligators.
I love many of the signs, but this one is probably my favorite, because it's so specific.
I wonder if the person in the wheelchair is shouting "Timmy!" as he travels downhill...
I wonder if they ever thought about erecting a fence at the bottom of the hill, before you get to the alligators? |
