I'm not sure if anything involving FreeBASIC will be of any use; 16-bit doesn't make sense over there. Anyone who has used BLOAD to load and execute external machine code has done this, it's just that there are certain requirements and restrictions on the machine code being loaded. He can use DOS calls to allocate memory and copy the machine code there, but in the end the process is the same. If he wants to load code that uses multiple segments/sections, the complexity increases. I'd first determine what my needs are regarding these codes before writing an .OBJ loader.
