Perhaps Clippy & Pete found something better to do...by (no login)RE: Where is everybody? Is this the beginning of the end? Imo Windows 95 was the beginning of QBASIC's end. Windows 7 made it a language relegated to requiring an emulator to run, and that's (imo) the worst place to be for any programming language. On the upside, QBASIC's position cannot get any worse... unless DOSBOX disappears, which won't be happening for at least another decade or more. Also on the upside, amazingly, most of the (decent) QBASIC orientated 'fan-sites' are still around. As for the low activity here, I'm honestly surprised Pete and Clippy have put in as much as they have on a regular basis here. I'm gonna give the guys some breathing space. And as for a definitive "The End", QB64 means this story will always be "To be continued..." http://www.qb64.net |
