How about adding the shortcut to your BAS Right click menu

You can go directly to the BAS file folder and right click any BAS file and it should open.

Use the newer shortcut in your QB.EXE folder as the target.

1) Right click a BAS file and go to the Open With Menu. Choose program...

2) Navigate to the QB.EXE folder and click on the shortcut

3) Make sure always use program box is NOT checked and click OK.

Now you should be able to open a BAS file in the IDE from any folder.


The console window is staying open from the batch file. Add:


CLS
Exit

It still may stay open if the BAS file is not closed properly.
