The Pocket PC was a PDA pocket device that worked with a stylus, and predated smartphones. It's now outdated and was replaced by Windows Mobile devices.
At the time, I heard that there was a DOS emulator for the Pocket PC and that it was able to run QB, but I don't know much about it.
I had a Pocket PC (won it as a grand prize at one of the Microsoft meetings I attended) but it came with a non-replacable rechargeable battery that eventually died and could no longer be recharged -- built-in obsolescence. I would still find it handy (if the battery could be replaced), since I don't use a smartphone.
