Geary's Interview

Now I now there are very good and valid reasons for Geary's contract not to be renewed.
When asked by the interviewer about his release he stated (with a sort of laugh)that the manger had not spoken to him about his release
I am not a Blackwell fan and I doubt I ever will be and I don't wish to start another 'Blackwell Out' thread but if this is true it speaks volumes about his man management skills or lack of them' and also helps to copound rumours about his attitude to players (Billy is a prime case, who will not play for him)
Is it not the manager who determines the players he wants for the future?
I know Birch is in control of contracts but surely a little common courtesy would not go amiss.
Afterall, Geary has been good for us and his playing career has been cut short battling for us.
