You're right; from McCabe's perspective this must be a continuing nightmare. Does he now allocate more money to fund players in January, or does he sit it out, with the hope we somehow stay up, and with the strategy that money spent goes further in League One ?

I imagine it's a real question of confidence in his own judgement when events suggest it has been flawed, although we outsiders do have the luxury of hindsight, it has to be said.

Does he trust Speed to make the right choices in the transfer window, or does he throw more bath water out of the window if the results don't turn soon ?
