Response to Re: Everton away...
I think its far to early to even think about the "P" word.
We need to hold onto Monty and Quinny. I think keeping the latter and keeping him fit might be very important to our chances. I am a bit puzzled as to why our senior management seem so desperate to cut the wage bill to shreds. I appreciate it needs to move down which it seems to have. What is the cost longer term of a return to the championship against a short term cut in the wage bill.
If it was me making a few decisions, I'd look at holding onto Quinn. If its a toss up to selling Monty and Evans (hopefully) instead. McDonald seems a promising addition (if he signs) and would provide suitable experience to replace Monty.
I hope we also see Kruk sign. He must be really affordable. He was playing German 3rd tier last year, thats about Blue Square equivalent isn't it. Am sure german 3rd tier is also regional football. His wage can't be prohibitive even to our budgets.
We need to think 1 game at a time. Brentford did alright lat weekend. They have a good manager, it will be another tough game.
