yep i know the facts. I also have the letter. McCabe was either responsiible for decision or party to it.
I have the letter
and will copy it--does anybody know how to copy it onto web site or I can scan it and email it to anybody.
I then went with McCabe as his guest to several matches. His wife was marvelous with my late father. Father lived near Occupation Lane and Sandra was born on Occupation Lane.
I have lost touch with McCabe in recent years--I last spoke to him in the last full season of Blackie's reign before the match v. Swansea. It was then he told me he would resign as Chair.
