At the present time the only way Monty could join Leeds would be on a loan and DW has stated that he doesn't intend to loan out any senior players just to save their wages.

Maybe a loan deal with a promise to buy later would do the trick, but could we trust Bates to honour the deal?

On balance I think we'll keep Monty for the rest of the season - but what do I know?
