I have no argument with our chairman, as we would be in a mess without him,and as many posters have said having experienced the previous ones, but no one shows any interest in making an investment which will never happen in this division.
The biggest mistake was the appointment of Robson,made for commercial reasons firstly, which I have commented on before, the football appointment in my opinion was on the basis that it should work.
Having an ex England captain and former Man Utd player would give us the image to great a world wide image,and would also provide the business development opportunites for property development, in China and Hungary.
There is nothing wrong with that if one has ploughed one's own money into the club and your business is property development,which has been successfully carried out.
If I remember correctly the full cost of this failed operation was never itemised in the accounts and again in my opinion starved the club of investment to ensure our development.
We are where we are but please do not knock McCabe as he is a Blade and has put his money in.
In McCabe and Danny we must trust, there is no alternative.
Football from the inside is a vicous game and the time has now come where players will not be able to command the salaries enjoyed in the past.
No one is more frustrated than the older Blades but we are still a great club,with a great following and we will be Blades for evermore.
