'Today we missed, Morgan, Ward, Britton, Henderson, Williamson and perhaps even France'.
I think that Morgs peaked ay Wembley against Burnley and is not what he used to be. I don't think we miss him anymore. Plus he's an unknown for many of the team whereas he used to be the rock. For me Nosworthy is growing and looked solid today. Britton might have helped but I'm still to be convniced that he is the solution to the problrm. Henderson - couldn't agree more. I can't wait for him to come back. Williamson - reading an interview with him in the programme today I don't think he will come back this season and will be released at the end of it. France - no idea but doubt it.
The big problem we have is that team know if they go 1 up we are unlikely to score and so shut up shop and hope for a second on the break which is what Watford did today. How they walked away with 3 points I don't know. They outmuscled us in all areas but were not good and we really should have won based on chances created. I have nothing against Watford and good luck to them but if we can't beat Scunny and Watford then we have real problems.
Although there are plenty of games left I now worry that we are going to be battling against relegation because McCabe is not going to splash the cash and this team will start to crumble - there isn't the Warnock spirit there. I would love Speed to succeed becuase he seems a decent, honest human being and was also a great player but he's not one of these lower league players who makes good as a manager.
I really enjoyed the game today and have enjoyed all of the games this season because on the whole it's been entertaining but I don't want to be playing the pigs in League 1 next season. What's the answer? Maybe it's just hope and pray that we get enough points to stay up and then rebuild over a couple of seasons. Let's face it. It's the Blades way.
