As usual - pretty much bang on the money IMHO DeadBat.
I was disappointed Lowton was dropped. I prefer him to Calve and he did well at Millwall. Perhaps he's still young and Speed didn't want to play him twice in a week? I don't know.
That was, quite possibly, the worst referreeing performance I've ever seen. He's "reffed" 5 games in the Premier League this season as well. The first two penalties were ridiculous. I don't think any other Ref would have given them.
I was surprised at Boggy's sending off. Then I watched it again and he did catch him quite high. I don't think there was any real intent but it was clumsy and I don't think it was as bad as it looked. He didn't have to send him off IMHO but, like you said, he loves to even things up! Boggy's not that type of player either from what I have seen.
I was really pleased with how we played againt 10 men. We didn't just smash the balll up there, we used Reid and Yeates to try and break them down down the right hand side mainly and we put about, what felt like, 50 crosses in. Our passing was good, probably given the extra room on the pitch.
My problem was with our "strikers" who never seemed to gamble to get to the back stick or ahead of their man to get on the end of most of them. For me, Evans isn't the answer.
Bit harsh with Yeates mark out of ten? Ok a great deal of what he tried didn't come off but he was one of the 3 players we had who was always trying something.
First time I've been impressed with Britton as well. Can he do it against 11 though? Again, I'm not sure. I think he'd look good in a decent team that plays to his strengths but we aint going to be that this year.
Great result that reminded me how football can play with the emotions like no other sport.
