The seeds of the disaster were sewn before Wembley--less than two years ago. We turned up with no forwards. Beattie 1 sold to Stoke previous Jan. hendo injured. Beattie 2 our main hope.
Cotts--our play maker failed at Palace when we needed a win if Brum lost. He failed again at Wembley because he did not turn up.
Having lost at Wembley, we sold two outstanding full backs and and lost our goalie because he had taken the wrong cough medecine, then Killa and Kyle Walker left. So we moved from a strong back 4 + goalie to not much. This was before Mr. Birch arrived.
Looking at it from McCabe's position, I would say he was pissed off with the Premiership as WHU played TWO players unlawfully. All other clubs have had points deducted for such events. Next he did not get the world cup as the FA had an ex-Wednesday man on board. So he is taking his money out and we have nobody to take his place.
We need a replacement for McCabe. Birch is just the administrator appointed to find an investor.
