The dangers of using loan players

I see that Phillips and Clarke are returning to Blackpool after the Stevenage game.
Who was it who said that we will not be relying on loan players again?
Fine, that they have been a success and have provided that missing pace.
But we now have to stick with what we have or return to the loan market to find others.
All very unsettling for the team and not conducive to seeking promotion.
While I have not yet digested the new agreed policy regarding academies,it does seem from a brief read it does not favour lower ranking teams as the amount they can receive for a sale is very limited.Another way of favouring the rich premiership sides.Time money was more evenly spread throughout the game, but that is another subject.Finance is slowly destroying the game we love IMHO.

agreed.we have had too many loan players. Blackie had to keep the show on the road with loan players even before we got to wembley. And it has been down hill ever since. We had chaos last season and we still cannot get it right this season.
also, loan players can be expensive. well done Kevin McCabe

We need replacements for Phillips and Clark and we will have to trust D.W. and his team to find them.Without replacements the squad looks short in terms of numbers and if we are to achieve anything this year we need at least two or three more of high caliber, these along with Tonne and Philliskirk, who I believe are about to return, just might keep us in the chase for the top six.We have to remember we are nor far off despite recent defensive frailties.McCabe wants success without much outlay,I will be surprised if he fails to back D.W.to achieve it for him.

We can but hope that Evans has learned something from watching Clarke.
