I said I'd join in, 1/48th Cromwell ARV conversion...

I was puzzling over what to do for this GB that would keep my interest levels up, a straight kit usually gets a bit dull, I did a search on the net and came up with a few pics of this vehicle on the web, as well as 2 1/35th scale builds based on the Accurate Armour set.

I decided to replicate the parts in 1/48th, so far it's all made with plastic and brass strip, plastic sheet and beam. I don't have any scale drawings, all the shapes and sizes are estimated from images and adapted to fit the kits upper hull and deck.

I still need to scratch together a vice and the winch, add detail to the jib and equipment at the back and a storage rack to the right front above the stowage bin, there are also quite a few small fittings around the main hatches as well.

So far it looks pretty good so I snapped these pics at the workbench while some glue was drying!

Regards.
