There have been some great photos posted in the Bo Bo Too thread showing early Lauterbach hulls with tail fins. I’ve always been interested in what Lauterbach had the first tail fin and when it was made. Photos in the Bo Bo Too post demonstrate that they were in place in 1958.
I've always heard the tail fin pattern was taken from 1957 Chevy tail fin so it stands to reason that they would show up on a boat built shortly there-after. Does anyone have any definitive proof of what Lauterbach had the first tail fin and what year it was made? That would be a neat fact that would also help some folks date their boats.
