I would like to echo Bob's praise and thanks to Phil for this site. After we finished building Miss Thriftway (1) in 2007, my wife, Mary, said, "I suppose you're going to start another boat project!" To quell the obvious concern, I told her the only other boat I would EVER be interested in was the 280 boat I was crewing on when we were dating, The Gold Streak. Thanks to this site, and Phils hard work, The Gold Streak was found within a day! My loveley wife has been very supportive of my "hobby" and she enjoys it too so when the Streak hit the driveway back in November, she was pretty excited!
It was only because of this site was I able to find the only other boat I would have wanted to complete my circle. The Gold Streak was the first real raceboat I crewed on. THANKS PHIL!
