You all need to consider the political climate of the ancient world. The Persians were very strong and had numbers. Alexander played to the tune of the Illyrians, Hellene, Thracians, and obviuosly the Maecdonians. It seems like he wanted much like what Hitler wanted - one massive state and one massive race through the intermixing of peoples. Alexander's empire was strong under ONE leader. When it was under the rule of more leaders, all whom were very strong generals, it fell. Why? Because they had a policy of dividing into sectors rather than standing as one....that is how Alexander ruled the world, not by imposing something on others....but by standing as one with the Persians, Illyrians, Thracians, Hellene, Egyptions, and Macedonians.....obviously after he suppressed each of their seperate rule....

I guess I could have expected such a response from you. Proto-Slavonic was spoken 5th century AD and prior - i.e. 4th, 3rd, 2nd, etc. The language pre-dated Old Macedonian, which was its successor. Again, the Bulgars did not speak a Slavonic tongue - they gained that when they came into the region of Thrace and Eastern Macedonia.

For your examples, when you take into consideration the development of language and the external or internal influences it surely is possible - take a look at you.
