Back in the early 90's I received some pictures of a Rolex watch that someone wanted to sell. The watch had a non original gold bezel (custom made and very ugly!) with a very nice original 3-6-9 dial. I was not told the reference number and did not care as I was buying some other watches in the deal. When I received the watch I quickly discovered that it was the very rare reference # 6200, the first submariner model! I was worried that I would never find a bezel for this very rare watch and I traded it away. If only I had been more patient in looking for a bezel!
