copyright question

Terry, you use a lot of different songs in your shows. Does a person pay one fee to ASCAP and then get to use several or would we need to write to each copyright owner individually?

You only need to copyright or pay royalties recorded material that you sell. There are no requirements for you to pay to perform any material live.

So my question then is this, if you perform a song and record it for videos that you will then sell, do you have to pay a copyright then? Just curious.
