I found an air rifle in my parents house and did not know what it was. The rifle was in a bad state and I decided to restore it. The barrel is part a smooth bore in .177. I found that the spring was broken in several places and that the plunger seal was not there. The nickel on the receiver was rusted away (barely any nickle left). Also the front sight was missing and was replaced with a filed screw. I made a new front sight and notice from pictures that it does not look like the original. The butt plate is also missing.
I managed to fing a springworks company that could make a replacement spring. I also cleaned the rest of the rifle. The missing plunger seal is still a problem. I am not sure what material it is made of. I assume it will be from leather.
In my research to identify the rifle I realised that there are different types and manufacturers of these rifles. Can somebody please help me to identify it. The only markings on it is the number 80.
Thanks
