Diana 65 Barrel without the barrel weight (sleeve)

All,

I took my barrel sleeve off my Diana 65 and now was looking at also removing the adaptor (see circled below).

I've heated it with a propane torch to only 200' and it hasn't moved, so I can assume it wasn't epoxied in. It's not 1 piece as I can see the seam line, do you think Diana brazed it in?



I'd like to remove it as it would have more of a sporter look.

Suggestions? Heat it more?
