I have a Milbro scout that is identical (I believe) to the Diana Model 1 and a Haenel X.
I have stripped this down to replace the piston washer which has really had it.
The "piston" read heavy wire with a bend at one end for the trigger sear and a washer welded to the other end with leather washer, smaller washer and brass thumbtack like piece holding the washer assembly down.
What is my best bet for going about replacing this washer? leather washer construction is no problem but removing the brass securing bit is. My thoughts are to dremell away just enough metal to remove the old washers and solder the new (or old) washer on, would this hold ?
Also any advice on how to remove the wooden stocks with minimum damage from this type of tinplate gun would be appreciated.
I know these are very low powered guns and hardly sought after but there is somthing of the underdog that attracts me !!
