Approval of January 22, 2011 Minutes- all in agreement they were correct
1) Combining Guilds
All agreed this was not the correct time to work toward combining with the United Guild. Instead we would continue working to improve the Cascade Chainsaw Sculptors Guild.
Jack McEntire asked for vote, Jerry Heneger second motion, all agreed
2) Discussion for Guild Improvement. Suggestions as follows:
a) Provide classes or demo’s at each show by a Pro-carver. They would be paid something yet to be determined for their time.
b) Suggestion Box -- Provide a suggestion box to improve the Guilds’ performance, and help boost membership.
c) Informational DVD -- Produce a DVD/s with carving tips with the proceeds to go to the Guild.
d) Public Raffle -- A carving could be donated from artist and raffled to the public. Feature the Artist in the Guilds’ newsletter.
e) Guild purchases a box of bar oil (possibly donated) -- Raffle off to the carvers, use as a fund raiser.
All present agreed these were good ideas to work on.
Jerry Heneger requested second signer for guilds bank account…
A second person should be authorized to sign guild checks in case something unforeseen happens to the primary signer. Debbie Tremko was nominated and approved as the second person.
Jerry Heneger motioned for Debbie Tremko to be approved as the second signer on the guilds bank account. Jack McEntire seconded the motion, all voted in favor.
Jack McEntire called for meeting to close, Jerry Heneger, seconded motion. All agreed.
