Anyone interested in caravaning / carpooling Saturday night? If so - any suggestions on where to meet? Barney said he can take about 5 others in his car.

RAW Pancake Breakfast Afterwards....................

July 15 2008, 12:02 PM

For all those caravaning to El Scorcho Dos, some of our members are planning to go out for pancakes after the race. Everyone is invited to come along and join us for a hard earned and well deserved, Sunday morning breakfast.

I believe it is going to be the same pancake house that our group "invaded" last year. Please stay tune for more information about location and directions, coming soon.

Best regards,

T.O.

Ol' South Pancake House

This is the closet pancake house to El Scorcho that was mentioned by Mr James Newsome of the Ft. Worth Running Company and probably where are RAW group ate at last year after the run. I understand they serve some awesome "lemon" pancakes there. Stay tuned for further announcements.

Barney, can I ride with you, too?

Unless we get a lot of people interested in carpooling and I could drive since I could take four in the Explorer with me.

Just A Suggestion For Time & Location

July 19 2008, 5:23 AM

How about the parking lot by the old Alberstson Supermarket at the NW corner of Northwest Hwy and Park Blvd http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=grapevine+tx&ie=UTF8&ll=32.939395,-97.095537&spn=0.046533,0.05682&z=14
at around 9:30 p.m.? The building is currently empty and is just left of Asian Top Restaurant.

Best regards,

Re: Leaving From Old Alberston's Parking Lot

July 19 2008, 12:48 PM

I'm heading out from the parking lot by the old Alberstson Supermarket at the NW corner of Northwest Hwy and Park Blvd http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=grapevine+tx&ie=UTF8&ll=32.939395,-97.095537&spn=0.046533,0.05682&z=14
at around 9:30 p.m. The building is currently empty and is just left of Asian Top Restaurant. Your all welcome to join me. My cell phone # is (214) 621-2838.

I want to get there early to stake out my drop bag area and help out Rick Sanford with the RAW aid station set up.

If you want to leave later, please just post the time here and let others know.

The new parking area this year is at the Farmington Field. After you get off the I-30 Freeway on the University exit, go north, past the last year's Trinity Park entrance and then turn right into Farmington Field. From there it is suppose to be a "short walk" to the start/finish area to the south.

Race packet pickup begins at 10:30 p.m.. Looks like plans for passing out sponges by the race volunteers fell through. I will try and bring what I have left over from 2Hot2Handle for our club members to use. See U all tonight.

Best regards,

T.O.
