Re: Is there going to be a July 3rd run?

Our club members are still welcome to meet at the RAW Clubhouse, for the usual, weekly morning trail run on Friday, July 3rd at 7 a.m., either on dirt or pavement.

Since Mr. Duncan Stewart and the Flower Mound Striders (now the North Texas Striders) have personally invited RAW to participate in their inaugural Declaration Dash 5K on Saturday, July 4th at 7:45 a.m. in Double Oak, Texas,http://flowermoundstriders.com/drupal/ instead of having our own organized fun run, we hope our club members will consider signing up and supporting this event, this summer. Thank you very much happy.gif

Best regards,

Friday run

June 30 2009, 11:37 AM

Thre are a few people who have said they might be interested in a northshore run on Friday. If you want to do an early trail run without the hassle of waiting until the gates open and paying $5.00 try this: go north from the store at the entrance to Rockledge (Griffiths Store)through the traffic circles on Lakeside Drive until you are headed east. Just as you clear the last traffic circle there is a left turn that will put you on Heritage. Follow Heritage until you get to McPherson Lane and turn left on McPherson. Follow Mcpherson to Elmwood, turn right on Elmwood, left on North Park and there is a small parking area on North Park. This will put you on the trail just past the two mile point from Rockledge. From there you can run to Rockledge and back and get about 4.5 miles or go the other way as fart as you want. Google map this by typing in "McPherson Lane Flower Mound Texas" and it will make more sense. The parking are is real small, so look at carpooling if possible.

As of right now, I will not be there Friday: back pain that is making it difficult to walk.

Location of july 4th picnic

July 2 2009, 5:20 PM

Hi,
I am new to grapevine and emailed the site last month for information about your group. Would love to join and also attend the july 4 picnic but I do not know the location where everyone is meeting. I know where the clubhouse is because I wanted to know where you start on the early morning runs and it is really close to me.

Thanks
