I would like to find out if my friend and I( Chris White/Charles Bouwens ) made it on the participants list of the rockledge rumble 30k? Does anybody know?
The 15 and 30K races are filled, in fact, they are over the limit. This will be the largest 15 and 30K field we have ever had. The 50K has about 10 slots left as of Tuesday. After Friday the long range forecast is for good weather and we anticipate the water levels to have crested and be on their way down. The trail should be in great shape for race day. Greyhounds unlimited will be setting up their Booth/ table and bringing some of their Hounds that are up for adoption out to the Rumble. They will be setting up after the races have started. These Dogs are great athletes, some right off the track so will fit in with the Rumble for sure. Our Brew Master Kevin Wessels has the 50K finishers beer capped and aging in the bottles and Lorraine has an incredible label this year that will honor our Veterans. We will be incorporating the new Dorba trails including the new one that intersects at the MADD shelter, so PAY ATTENTION TO THE TRAIL MARKINGS! Antje has graciously volunteered to watch all our gear overnight at the Jackson Pavilion Friday night. She welcomes anyone who would like to camp out and keep her company. We will have the Porta Potties already out there. Make sure race day that you take up as little space as possible parking, as in years past it will be very tight. DO NOT pay to enter the park, tell the attendant that you are in the race. The fee is included in our rental of Jackson Pavilion. For the 15 and 30K there will be a donated (not affiliated with NTTR) 19th hole again this year. Remember, always drink while you run (Confused 2009 AD). Cindy Melder of Starbucks will again have their world famous coffee ( not the, ugh, stuff you see advertised by others) at the start.
The Rumble is full and entries are being mailed back to people who waited to enter. Dave Billman is doing an unbelievable job of trying to accommodate all the entries but we have had to shut registration down. The trail should be in beautiful shape and the forecast looks great for good weather. The gate will be open by 5:30 Saturday morning, we will have the key. Trail marking will start at noon on Friday the 13th and they are expecting us at the Gate. PARKING FOR THE RUMBLE: There is now parking past the paved circle near the Porta lets down on the grass all the way to the spillway. The City has asked that we fill this space first. The course will have some new sections this year so PAY ATTENTION TO THE MARKINGS! DO NOT ARRIVE LATE THIS YEAR due to the large amount of runners entered. The Rumble is run in honor of our Veterans past and present so everyone being on time while we have our brief ceremony before the start will be appreciated. Greyhounds Unlimited has confirmed they will definitely be at the Rumble , visit their site by clicking on their name on the Rumble website. Those entries that were mailed this week will be returned to the entrant, we simply cannot handle any more runners on the trail.
Congrats to all the Cactus Rose Finishers!

The Rockledge Rumble is FULL and registration is CLOSED. Early entries have filled us to the capacity of our park event permit, and beyond the capacity if the trail. If you aren't already registered, don't try. I'm already mailing entries back to people. Please don't ask for special treatment, It will hurt me to say no, and it will hurt you to hear it. We're closed, no exceptions. Come out and volunteer. We still need workers.
