Problem is, I'm a hopelessly addicted pack rat, so the thought of giving this up is beyond my comprehension.
I have seen this particular projector on Ebay for $1000-1500. So if you are interested in spending close to that for the replacement LCD panel, I would suggest just buying a used one.
I am going to wait around and see if I can find a similar, broken projector, that someone will hopefully let go for a song. I will then have the part I need plus some change.
