could you just use a audio card and "record the out put of the signal chain.. you would probably just need to make a couple of adapters..
any cheep/free audio recording software will show you distortion.. expecialy if you are coppairing to the track that you are playing..
like a overdub while sending a frequency out as playback..
might take a little tweeking getting your levels dialed in...
