Clearwing moth!!

Sorry that I couldnt get a good pic of this guy but I hard ever see one and in the middle of the day to boot.

They are fast little movers & hard to catch. I've had a couple & they seem to elude the camera. Also...

I've seen them out in full sun but they seem to have just started showing up. Didn't see them in spring or early summer & they seem to appear about this time every year for me. Saw another tonight & still no shot. Started flying right towards my face, made an about turn (hopefully it wasn't my face that scared him [linked image]) & took off into a neighbors tree.

You are so funny~ this moth is so fidgety like its on some kind of hyper drug. I had nice night shot of one a couple of years ago and deleted it , stupid move.[linked image]

I am home from tomorrow until Tues. with great temps..70.. & low humidity. I WILL get a pix of one yet!!! and hopefully get a lot of work done.

I've seen a lot of them this year. They're always on my butterfly bushes.
