It was great meeting a lot of the esteemed members on here in person, like you John plus Scott and Chris all from the same club to, infact a very impressive turnout by Melbourne marksman, on the plus side Chris is already trying to arrange a get together at your home club at some point in the future for a 6 yard comp, so I may be able to christen that lovely little Light Pattern I bought from Eddie. Looking forward to that Thursday evening (date YET to be decided) already . It was great meeting Eddie to and obviously I made a Bee line for Ed the moment I entered and blew my wad in seconds LOL and am well pleased with both my purchases. The already mentioned Light Pattern and a very nice 1909 improved Mod D that will be christened against Squirrels as soon as possible.
I had looked forward to this day for a long time and I wasn't disappointed. I did expect more buyers through the door and maybe a few more sellers as well but thoroughly enjoyed every minute I was there. Mally Ally and myself are already looking forward to next years event.
Maybe Charley could find a date next year when no football is being played, one potential buyer told me he and his friend had a lot of trouble parking at the other end of the pitch. I did notice myself that what was ''supposedly'' the punters car park was full of cars belonging to the people playing or watching the football. Something to maybe bear in mind next year. Apart from that one minor thing, another good day was had by all methinks.
