I love the tap with the knurl nut tensioner on the right hand side. Obviously they were by now using 'Improved style' loading taps as this gun appears to show a shorter than normal loading tap lever, and somewhat of a departure from the usual first style simple block arrangement for controling tap movement, as on the earlier Lincolns.
And, yet another Lincoln with the screw just in front of the trigger block to prevent the block working loose if the trigger guard screws weren't tight.
Superb piece of history, and dont you just love the firing squad on the stock.
