BSA Standard in Australia

An Australian couple got in touch with this forum after searching for information about this BSA Standard, which they recently inherited. It was formerly owned by a relative who served in the Australian Navy. The condition shows he did a pretty good job of looking after it.

What a beautiful condition rifle,thanks for the photos,I often sit and think on the history these guns could tell us if they could speak and also wonder whether a newer rifle will be working as well as these when it is as old as they are
