If it is of help striver, I had hip replacement surgery 18 months ago and I may be of some help.
The surgeon who 'did' me did not believe in post-op physiotherapy, although his private patients received it as routine. 5 days then on the street. Brutal.
I'm still on a walking stick and expect to be for a few months yet, but it comes along slowly.
