This really makes sense... Well, but if he couldn't tell Millie that Ivo isn't Federico's son, he shouldn't have told her anything at all. Or, he could at least tell Federico that Millie thinks Ivo is her brother. The fact that Father Manuel didn't tell Federico he told Millie the truth is really a stupid thing.
And if we talk about more stupid things (not that important ones :)) I would mention these:
1)It's weird that a priest cares so much about soccer
2)When his heart was sick, Millie told him to lie in her bed while she cares about the things in the convent, but F.Manuel didn't listen to her and to the doctor and ran away. Wasn't this the plain stupidity? He almost died!
3)Other "stupidities" don't come to my mind :-))
