Our first time with REG and it has been a completely above board program. We played elsewhere the year before and it is night and day in terms of organization and communication to parents and kids. The great thing is that RE does not simply provide the AAA kids a spring experience but is inclusive and allows for kids who are almost there a chance to play quality spring hockey. As for cash grab its simple if you don't want to pay then don't play because no one said you had to.Consider that 2 weeks of hockey school is about 700 plus and you are herded from drill to drill. The cost of RE is $590 with approx.9 hours structured practice time with top level coaches and 4 tournaments equal to a minimum of 16 games .. how is that a rip off especially when you are playing top talent in the province ? Too many people bash programs but in the end when all is said and done you must ask yourself did I do everything that I could to help my child achieve to the best of his abilities. Play all sports in summer its a long time off of school , however if spring is an option then why wouldn't you give your child the chance and the experience especially when it is so reasonable? BTW.. don't want spirit wear then don't buy it .. no one says its mandatory ? |
