After all the MT postings, I asked our (mid-pack AAA) coach about this. He said he had been approached by a number of MT parents over the past few weeks about next year, so went to watch a game, and was not sufficiently impressed to extend an invite to any of them to try out. He said there was one kid who could definitely make the jump and probably do ok, but didn't think he was worth it based on what he had heard about the parents from other people he knows and trusts. So it's all well and good to say your kid is good enough to make AAA, it's quite another matter to actually get there, and skill is only part of the issue.
